Project Description

Volunteer for one of the most exciting events of the year.

Sydney celebrates New Year’s Eve with one of the world’s largest, most technologically advanced fireworks displays.

More than 1 million spectators view the celebration along the Sydney Harbour foreshore, and the event reaches a global audience of more than 1 billion.

Sydney Harbour, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House take centre stage for 2 spectacular firework displays: the family fireworks at 9pm and the famous display at midnight.

Australia’s First Peoples are recognised with special bridge lighting effects, a smoking ceremony as part of the Welcome to Country and the Calling Country, a harbour wide ceremony embracing and honouring the Dreaming of Sydney Harbour and our relationship to it.
