Spring Cycle is a mass participation cycling event catering to all levels of cycling enthusiast from the serious to touring and recreational riders. It is a traditional way to enjoy the city in spring, so please join us and get involved and help make this event both possible & unforgettable.

Here is a brief explanation of the main volunteer roles.
Route Marshal – Want to be in the middle of the action? Course Marshals are positioned along the course in an area of your choosing and act as the eyes of the event. This is a very important role for the smooth running for Spring Cycle as you will be assisting riders with directions, helping to alert ride crew if a rider needs bike maintenance and also cheering the competitors along.
Site Assistant – Help out one of the various sites along the route, this may be the Start Site, Finish Site or a Rest/Water Stop. Your role will involve the operation of the site for example set up and pack down, handing out rider information, registration tent and giving directions.
Ride Crew – Join the famous Ride Crew and ride the length of the Spring Cycle course while stopping to assist any riders who need minor mechanical repairs to their bikes. Ride Crew volunteers must be capable in the repairs needed and happy to ride the length of the course. Ride Crew may be positioned as early course marshals first and then deployed as Ride Crew.
