Welcome to the most bizarre, most thrilling, and by ‘eck, the grubbiest event on the planet. The ultimate fun run, created for the thrill-seekers among us, being held in Sydney.
Join thousands of wacky-racers that will run, crawl or even belly-flop your way through 7km of mud-pits, bog-holes and rivers oozing with thick, cold, gooey muck.
Whether you’re a fanatical runner or a self-confessed couch potato, the Mud Run is for everyone.
Join the Volunteer Team and make this great event possible. Volunteers will be able to participate as well.

The Mud run will be held at Sydney International Equestrian Centre – Western Sydney. Saxony Road, Horsley Park NSW 2175
We will be running a shuttle bus from the closest train station to the event site. The closest train station is Rooty Hill station. We will update the transport section closer to the event but don’t fear we will get you there
You can also drive and volunteers can have free parking onsite.

Please see below an overview of the roles that were available in 2012. Once roles and times have been finalised we will be in touch.
A detailed briefing will be provided for each of the roles prior to the shift.
You will be assisting with the registration of race competitors.
You will be assisting with storing and returning bags for participants according to their wave colour and number.
Assist the event flow by giving directions to participants, ensure the course is free of obstructions (other than ones part of the course) and participants are following the correct way, cheer them on, be the friendly face along the route.
You will need to be fit to help move equipment around if required. How to use a Two Way Radio is an advantage.
You will be positioned near the showers, directing people to the showers and advising people that showers should be restricted to 2mins due to the event having a lot of people coming through.
Start Line/ Finish Line Assistant
Help event organisers with the start line set up, direct participants to registration check participants bibs before allowing them into the start line.
Hand out items at finish line, assist event organisers by getting people to move along from the finish line to avoid congestion.
