Volunteering on Australia Day 2015
Each year, spectacular Australia Day events are delivered with the assistance of hundreds of volunteers who generously give up their time to help others have a great national holiday.
Volunteers are our biggest resource and there are no specific qualifications required. All we ask is that you can be flexible, willing to learn and be able to offer a friendly smile. We look for people who share our values of community, enthusiasm, empathy and team work.
In Sydney, this year we are looking for volunteers for Hyde Park, Martin Place, the Sydney Opera House and at the Sydney Harbour activities.
Hyde Park and Summer Playground will once again be the best place to be for families and will feature Nickelodeon this year. Martin Place and Hyde Park Barracks see information booths and Carnivale. Then there is the indigenous ceremony at the Opera House and Sydney Harbour activities with volunteers being involved at the Athol Bay Playground.

As in previous years, we are using an online system called Shiftboard for the Australia Day volunteer and shift registration. This is separate from your Eventeamwork account. If not please click here and create an account.
